TERM CLASSES
Term classes meet once a week for 6 weeks.
This class will be suitable for all levels. Beginning students will create a stepping stone or wall hanging/trivet to get started. You will learn everything I cover in the Beginning Mosaics class and can choose to make either a ceramic or glass mosaic or if you have time, both. We all work at different paces and the tempo of the class is set by each individual.
If you already have mosaic experience or are an existing student wishing to work on your own project with support & tuition from me, this class is also great for you.

TABLECLOTHS & GARDEN SPHERES
The Tablecloths & Garden Spheres sculptural class is a 2 day workshop that explores creating substrates for mosaic that mimic the flow of fabrics and how to create garden spheres from beach balls, all with a view to mosaic. These substrates are suitable for outdoor mosaics. Students will begin to create two different substrates: a mini tablecloth and a garden sphere. They are guided on how to create the two different substrates and how they can be adapted for size.
There is no mosaicing in this class. Students may be required to complete their pieces at home.

This two day intensive workshop is an introduction to ceramic tile mosaics and an excellent starting point for those who want to study mosaics further or for those who just want to experiment with the medium. The workshop covers everything you need to know to create a mosaic that will last: safety, tools and their use, types of materials, substrates and adhesives suitable for both interior and exterior mosaics, setting tile, mosaic design basics, basic terminology and finally resources.
Grouting is covered on the second day. Students receive handouts with information covered in class and will make a 30cm sq stepping stone suitable for outdoor purposes to take home. No art or mosaic experience necessary! Please bring lunch.
